Badger is pleased to announce a new client, Avebury Records recording artist Tom Stevens. Most of you will remember Tom from his days with The Long Ryders. Tom's new album Home will be released on June 15. Peter Case's new album Let Us Now Praise Sleepy John will be released August 7th on Yep Roc. The album was produced by Ian Brennan and is easily Case's most honest and direct effort yet. It's a stripped down affair with most songs featuring just vocal and guitar. There are some guests appearing on the album however, including Richard Thompson, Duane Jarvis, Lysa Flores and Carlos Guitarlos. Among the batch of new songs, the album includes the first song Case ever wrote (at the age of 15), "Just Hangin' On". Although the title of the album drops the name of one of the greatest bluesmen ever, the album has only one blues song on it, a hopped-up rendering of the Robert Wilkins classic "Getaway Blues". The Dark Bob has several new releases out: his spoken word collaboration with writer/poet Lewis MacAdams Dear Oxygen, a compilation of songs and monologues from '89-'99 with a middle-eastern influence called Intifadadavida, a remastered version of his 2001 release When I Grow Up To Be A Man and a new song cycle about his hometown, Santa Monica, called STOKED! See the merchandise page for everything available. Also see YouTube here for all The Dark Bob videos. Peter Case's new book As Far As You Can Get Without a Passport has been released and is available here:
